THERE
ARE GREAT DANCES ON TV, TOO

We came across a half-dozen dances which
originally appeared on TV over the last 50

found delightfully irresistible and think
are worth a closer look.
But
before you get to that delightful half-dozen,
check out these irresistible delights from

On
the dance competition program "So You Think
You Can Dance," there have been countless
memorable numbers, but we think the dance
featuring contestant Alex Wong and pro
tWitch is one of the best. It is
simply astonishing:
Here
we have a hapless Ron Howard and a hilarious
Penny Marshall dancing together on an
episode of "Laverne & Shirley" from
1976:
On
"The Ellen Show,"" guest host Sean Hayes goes
all out for his de rigeur dance:
In this classic "Seinfeld" episode, Elaine
shows how NOT to dance:
Sometimes, a couple of Golden-Oldie
performers get to shine again, as in this
sequence from a 1973 special -- "Magnavox
Presents Frank Sinatra":
And, finally, the Oscar telecast is usually
a graveyard for god-awful production
numbers, .... but every-once-in-a-pink-moon,
there's something so fabulous, it's one for
the ages:
