The miniatures on this page
were handmade by
Rebecca's Miniatures,
Susan Miller, Me 'n My
Doll,
Farrow Industries, and other artists.
They are perfectly-scaled props to display with
vintage
dolls (as well as with newer dolls who
have an appreciation for the classics.)
Most of these items are Barbie family, but
there are some Tammy, GI Joe
and other things as well.
REBECCA'S MINIATURES
Rebecca's Miniatures were sold at the annual National Barbie Doll
Collectors' Conventions from the early 1990's until the mid-2000's.
Rebecca got a special license from Mattel to reproduce, in 1/6 scale,
miniature vintage Barbie items such as cases, books, structures,
dolls, outfits, paper dolls, playsets, etc. But, the catch
was she could
only sell them at each year's conventions.
Every year, she'd introduce new handmade items for sale, as well as
a few old favorites. Consequently, there were relatively few
of
each item made - probably no more than several dozen each.
This has made them quite scarce.
Most of these miniatures are 3-dimensional photographic
reproductions that replicate the outside of a case or a structure or
a book, but a few actually open up to reveal miniature pages or
interiors. If they do open up, there'll be mention and/or pictures
of the interior in our listing for that item.
